Diamond, Stitch & Core Drilling

At Core Drill Ltd we can cut through materials such as brick, stone, steel & reinforced concrete using diamond drill and core bits.

Diamond core drilling uses a rotary drilling non-percussive method of drilling.

Diamond drilling and diamond cutting is a highly specialised service, as often precise results are required to meet the challenges faced on construction projects.  At Core Drill Ltd we can drill sizes from 10mm up to 1200mm diameter. We use non-percussive plant which significantly reduces HAV’s (Hand-Arm vibration syndrome). We use water and dust suppression to maintain a clean environment.

Wall & Track sawing

Wall & Track sawing are fast and efficient methods of creating precise cuts in reinforced concrete and masonry. Track saws can saw through doors, windows & staircases and form angled cuts. 

Track sawing delivers highly accurate and smooth cuts. 

Core Drill Ltd offer the latest and most advanced machines within the industry. Track saws have a cutting head which is mounted on a track that is fixed to the structural element being cut. During cutting, the head moves along the track while being powered by an electric unit. The blade is covered by a guard. The saw plunges the blade to the required cutting depth which can be up to 1000mm deep. Remote controls make these very safe tools to use.

Floor Sawing

Core Drill Ltd carry many types of floor saws. We can carry out diamond floor sawing and concrete floor cutting projects in the most challenging of environments minimising disruption to the nearby environment.

Concrete saw cutting is used for cutting hard flat surfaces such as motorways, bridges, pavements and floor slabs along with trenching, joints, demolitions cuts and floor chases.  It is a faster, safer and more efficient technique than conventional methods of making alterations or removing concrete slabs/other hard floor surfaces. Since there are a huge range of floor saws which vary in size, it is possible to cut most lengths, widths and depths. 

Like a track saw the system consists of a circular blade mounted on a spindle and powered by a diesel, petrol engine or even an electric motor for work indoors. It is self-propelled so an operator walks behind the unit as it moves along a flat surface. The diamond blade is capable of cutting up to 600mm depth.

At Core Drill Ltd we have at our disposal, petrol, diesel and electric machines for cutting reinforced concrete floor slabs, inside and out, using water to cool blades and suppress dust. We carry out works both internally and externally using fast compact machines.
